Canada Post holiday card deadlines 2026: when to mail your cards

Canada Post’s dates for cards in 2026

These are Canada Post’s send-by dates for cards, from its holiday page for 2026. Canada Post says the dates are between major urban centres and depend on where the card is mailed from and to. National means anywhere in Canada; for a card that stays within your region or your area, the later dates apply.

The dates are our own. Order by them, and your cards are expected in hand by Monday, December 14, 2026. That is 4 days before the carrier’s date, time to write, address and stamp them. The dates count the order page’s working days for its slowest card, holidays excluded.

The first two rows hold for Canada Post’s National date, so your cards can go anywhere in Canada. Cards you mail on to the USA go by Canada Post’s earlier date, Friday, December 11, 2026: order them by the last row’s date, and they are expected in hand by Monday, December 7, 2026.
